Important guidance for purchasing a granite memorial through Heritage Rock Monuments for placement in a cemetery.
Guidance for Third Party Memorials — Please Read Carefully
Generally, all markers and monuments must be approved, in advance, by the Cemetery as to size, design, specification, quality, material, style, lettering, finish, workmanship, and uniformity, and guaranteed as to their maintenance and replacement.
Cemeteries require a minimum thickness to granite markers. Our markers have a minimum thickness of 4 inches. Verify with your cemetery what their minimum requirements are.
A detailed memorial proof will be submitted to the cemetery administration, for inspection, including measurements, emblems, designs, and wordings, before the production of the memorial. Design must be approved by the cemetery administration.
BE ADVISED that cemetery administration collects fees associated with the installation of the granite memorial and its endowment care. Such fees are usually collected in advance before installation. Fees could include: Installation, ECF (Endowment Care Fund), Administration, 3rd party inspection fee, and others. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to contact the cemetery and find out the total of these costs. Cemetery fees are to be paid directly by the purchaser.
Each garden within the cemetery may have different monument restrictions and such specific restrictions are made part of their Rules and Regulations. Please consult with cemetery office what type of monuments are permitted.
Be advised that the setting or placing of all monuments and markers are mostly arranged by the cemetery, regardless of the monument supplier. You are responsible to comply with the cemetery's policies.
The Cemetery reserves the right to prohibit and erect any monument or marker that may be considered inappropriate.
